All praise is due to Allah. We seek his help, we seek his forgiveness and we send salutation upon Prophet Muhammad sallallah alaihi wasallam peace be upon him and all those who follow his footsteps till the day of judgment.
This story we have to ponder upon we have to look deeper and take the heat to get closer to Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala. The Sheikh, the one who gave the who saw by himself the person and he is the one who narrating this story to strengthen your Iman.
The sheikh from Saudi Arabia he got a call and the people told him that can you please come and give bath of death (Janaza Ghusl) to one of the person. So he took some of his friend and he went all the way to give the bath. The first thing that the sheikh is saying that I saw this brother from Sudan who used to work in Saudi Arabia and he was from head to toe completely covered with blood, dust, sand as well the small particles of the glass. It was a very horrible accident that this brother went through. He probably went through the road or he fell down and he went through this horrible accident that he was complete bleeding and perhaps he rolled couple of times so all the dust and the sand on his body and as well the glass of the car was into his body.
So they saw him is a Sudani brother having a beard and he was on the dead bed so the sheikh says, let’s start giving bath. So they start giving bath and the first time they gave the bath with water and applied one of the herbs that the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam told us and he recommended to give the to the dead person with Sid has a good smell, a powder so they give first and the person’s face start shining. Then they give another second time with Kafur. Kafur is also one of the herbs that has a good smell and the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam highly recommended to give to the dead people from Kafur and from the Sid. So the second time when he gave the water, the man’s face started more glowing and for the third time when he he poured the water on the body, what happened that the body completely changed into something else that it’s glowing it’s shining.
Yes the brother from Sudan has a dark skin but it’s glowing, it’s shining into the extent that he couldn’t believe the sheikh that Subhan Allah the face become full of light and the body is shining. When the blood is gone and the dust is gone, these small particles of this glass and the sand is gone the face is completely shining. So the sheikh couldn’t even believe that what he saw, so he went and first he asked the brothers around him he said, “Is the face and the body exactly the same that what we saw at the beginning?” He says, no he’s completely Changed. Subhan Allah.
Then after the bath and everything when they wrapped him they keep the face open. He opened the door and he asked the family members to come in and kiss the face for the last time and this is the Sunnah. When the people came inside he asked some of them is the face of this person is the same? They say, no, it is shining, it is glowing, Subhan Allah. So one of the brother came and he started crying a lot. He starts crying in a different way. So the sheikh said, it’s okay, make Dua for him. So he said, you know this is more than my brother his name is Assam and I want to tell you about Asaam. He says, yes tell me about Assam.
He says that, he is a small simple worker working in a company in Saudi Arabia and his office is in one of the top floors and our Masjid where we pray it is at the ground floor. Whenever it is prayer time, Asaam starts moving around all the offices, roaming around saying Salah time Brothers, let’s get up for Salah, brothers please let’s move for Salah and then he goes to the second floor while stairs or from the top he goes to the level the below level then he keep asking the people yea shabab, let’s go oh brothers let’s move it’s Salah. He goes for each and every floor and he’s keep calling brothers please come for Salah, it’s a Salah time, come join us, leave your work, In sha Allah, you can do the work later on. By the time he reaches at the ground floor, at the Masjid, he’s having half of the office with him. So this was something that he used to do for years and years. The Sheik says may Allah give him good ending, may Allah give him Jannah, may Allah Elevate his status. So, the brother stopped crying and he says no this is not the only thing that my brother Asaam used to do. he used to do more. so the sheikh says tell me about Asaam what he did.
He said that he is just a simple employee. His salary is 2,500 Riyal, that is equvalent to less than $700. With that simple salary that he managed to collect and save money and encourage his brothers and some of the employees and he collected the money and he built three Masjids, three different mosques in Sudan, Subhan Allah. The sheikh was amazed that simple employee with a simple salary and throughout the years he’s saving and saving and encouraging other brothers and then going and building one masjid in one area, the second at other area, third in that area. Allahu Akbar, what a blessings what a wonderful Deed that he was doing and then the sheikh says, WAllahi, Allah gave him this shine not only because of he was Keen to pray on time, but also because he was Keen to tell other people to come and join for the Salah, also he was doing the good things and he built a masjid, he used to call people to Salah and he used to do good things there are could be many other things that he used to do secretly by himself no one knows about it, Subhan Allah. and this is the ending that Allah subhanahu gave him that his face was shining, his body was shining and there were many brothers who prayed for him.
This is the story which tells us something that we have to work for, we have to engage ourself in Good Deeds, we have to do as much as possible in order to get closer to Allah.
